Fife Flames continued their excellent form in the Scottish U16 League with an emphatic victory at Murrayfield on Saturday.
The players performed extremely well as a group, with almost every one of them tallying at least one assist to demonstrate how they try to play the game.
The Flames are well-placed to claim top spot this season, but the coaching team will be stressing the importance of avoiding complacency.
The short-benched Fife Redwings were out of luck at Lanarkshire Lightning U12. The home side took full advantage to cement their place at the top of the table.
Kaiden Coles picked up the MVP award for the Redwings.
With Fife Ice Arena out of action due to storm damage, Fife Phantoms’ game against Cardiff Junior Devils U14 was switched to Murrayfield Ice Rink.
The day started with a fantastic pre-game meal at the Holiday Inn, followed by a great match between the two sides.
The Phantoms secured the win with a strong bounce-back performance, and it was great to see such a positive reaction from all the players.
Both teams subsequently enjoyed the Edinburgh Capitals versus Kirkcaldy Kestrels game. Given how things looked on Friday night, it was a fantastic weekend for everyone.
Malky McPhee picked up the MVP award for the Phantoms, while Kian Barbosa scooped the prize for the Devils.
