Kirkcaldy Kestrels will bid to return to winning ways in the Scottish National League (SNL) at Kilmarnock Thunder on Saturday (5.30 pm).

The Kestrels slipped to their fourth defeat of the season against Paisley Pirates last weekend to drop out of the top three in the SNL standings.

They will be eager to bounce back at the Galleon Centre against a team who have had a tough time of things during the current campaign.

Thunder are the only team without a point in the SNL this season, and they will be keen to rectify matters this weekend.

Steven Wishart’s side emerged victorious when the two sides met at Fife Ice Arena earlier this month, recording an impressive 11-1 win.

Thunder have been competitive on home ice despite suffering two defeats and will fancy their chances of turning things around against the Kestrels.

With a home game against reigning champions Aberdeen Lynx next on the agenda, the Kestrels desperately need to regain the winning thread in Kilmarnock.
