Kirkcaldy Kestrels will bid to return to winning ways in the Scottish National League (SNL) when they visit Paisley Pirates on Sunday (5.00 pm).

Narrow defeats against Edinburgh Capitals and North Ayrshire Wild have scuppered the Kestrels’ bid to climb into the top three in the standings.

The Kestrels will be eager to bounce back this weekend to boost their chances of climbing the standings before the end of the regular season.

Steven Wishart’s side have won five of their nine games on the road this season – a record which includes a 6-1 victory over the Pirates in September.

However, the Braehead-based side defeated the Kestrels 3-2 at Fife Ice Arena the following month, so it would be foolish to underestimate them.

They have won just two of their eight games on home ice this term and will be keen to improve that record this weekend.
