Kirkcaldy Kestrels complete their 2024 schedule with a blockbuster home fixture against Dundee Rockets on Sunday (6.30 pm).

A victory for the Kestrels would keep them in touch with the top teams in the Scottish National League heading into next year.

That factor undoubtedly cranks up the pressure on Steve Wishart’s side in terms of keeping themselves in contention to mount a title challenge this season.

The Rockets have had the upper hand over the Kestrels this term, recording narrow victories in each of their two previous meetings.

However, the Kestrels were arguably unfortunate to be on the wrong end of the scoreline in their most recent game, having led 5-2 heading into the third period.

The Rockets battled back to send the game to overtime before snatching the victory in the extra session.

The two sides produced a thrilling encounter on that occasion, and this weekend’s clash promises to deliver even more excitement.
