Kirkcaldy Kestrels head to the west coast tomorrow aiming to build on an impressive start to the year.

The Kestrels will be in a buoyant mood when they visit North Ayrshire Wild after kicking off 2025 with a bang last weekend.

Steven Wishart’s side claimed a 5-3 victory at Edinburgh Capitals to keep themselves in touching distance of the top three teams in the Scottish National League.

They will fancy their chances of following up against Wild, having recorded three previous victories over them in the league and cup this season.

However, although Wild are struggling at the wrong end of the table, they have shown they can cause problems for teams higher up the standings.

The Kestrels will be eager to avoid any slip-ups, particularly with two of the three teams above them in the standings meeting each other this weekend.

Table-topping Dundee Rockets host third-placed Aberdeen Lynx on Saturday, and the Kestrels will be keeping a close eye on the outcome of that game.
