Kirkcaldy Kestrels play their penultimate fixture of the regular season against North Ayrshire Wild on Saturday (6.30 pm).

The Kestrels head into the game on the back of an impressive 4-2 win at Aberdeen Lynx last weekend, and they will be eager to follow up on home ice.

The two sides have met five times in the league and cup this season, and the Kestrels hold a 4-1 lead in the series.

However, their most recent meeting resulted in a 5-4 overtime victory for Wild, and Steven Wishart’s side will be keen to gain their revenge this time around.

A win this weekend would boost the Kestrels’ hopes of claiming fourth spot in the Scottish National League this term.

A fourth-place finish would pitch the Kestrels into a play-off group alongside the teams finishing second and sixth at the end of the regular season fixtures.

The top two sides in the group progress to the Final Four Weekend at Dundee Ice Arena over the Easter weekend in April.
