Fife Falcons’ winning run in the Scottish U19 League was halted as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Dundee Stars on Sunday.

Several Fife Flames players stepped up to play for the Falcons, including Ross McEwan, who scored the opening goal with a cracking finish.

Lewis Blyth and Adam Malcomson were also impressive after being handed the opportunity to play in the next age group. Harris Piotrowicz was the MVP.

Fife Phantoms had better luck against Dundee’s U14 side, claiming a hard-fought 6-5 victory.

The coaches used the game to give U12 netminders Matty McGroarty and Jenson Reid ice time at U14 level, and both performed well.

All lines contributed to a solid team performance that bodes well for the rest of the season. Ryan Venters was the MVP.

Fife Redwings shrugged off the absence of some key players to record an impressive victory over Moray U12.

Liam Coles was the MVP on his eighth birthday – a great effort on his debut for the U12 team.
