The club’s junior teams were in action over the weekend and acquitted themselves extremely well.
Fife Phantoms were the first to hit the ice with a challenge game against Scotland U13 on Saturday. Ryan Venters (3) topped the scoring in a 5-4 victory.
Fife Falcons continued their quest to win the U19 league the following morning with an emphatic 13-1 victory at Murrayfield.
Jack McGowan led the scoring with a hat-trick. Six other players were also on target, including Cal McLaren. He also picked up the MVP award.
Fife Redwings battled hard on their visit to Dundee Stars U12 team but were on the wrong end of the scoreline.
Netminder Rory Morris was immense in goal and deservedly bagged the MVP prize.
The Phantoms had better luck against the Stars’ U14 side, battling back from a two-goal deficit to secure a 7-4 victory. Netminder Jenson Reid as the MVP.
All three lines contributed in a hard-fought game, while several of the club’s U12 squad gained valuable game time in an older age group.
Fife Flames remain on course to record a perfect season in the U16 league after claiming a 7-3 victory over the Stars. Lewis Blyth netted a hat-trick to secure the MVP award.
Their job was made more difficult as several key players were with Kirkcaldy Kestrels, but they ran out convincing winners.
The 2024/25 Scottish Cup Finals Weekend will be staged at Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday/Sunday 26/27th April.
The junior competitions will feature two semi-finals, a third-place play-off and a final.
