Kirkcaldy Kestrels are delighted to confirm that Kian Shevlin has agreed to join the club for next season.

The teenager signed for the Kestrels on a two-way agreement with Solway Sharks in January.

However, Shevlin was involved in an accident the following month, which ruled him out of action for the rest of the campaign.

He is scheduled to return to the ice with the Kestrels ahead of the 2025/26 season and will be eager to make an immediate impression.

Shevlin previously iced for the club at junior level before furthering his development with a spell in the United States.

He subsequently returned to Scotland, icing for Dundee Stars and Solway in the junior leagues.

Shevlin featured for Solway in NIHL1 North in 2022/23 and also gained experience with Edinburgh Capitals in the Scottish National League.

He iced again for the Capitals the following season, but also remained with Solway following their move up the National League.

Shevlin is the eighth player to join the Kestrels’ ranks for next season.
