Fife Flames took a major step towards winning the Scottish U16 League title with a strong performance at Belfast Giants on Saturday.

MVP Caiden Forbes weighed in with a hat-trick as the Flames claimed a 5-2 victory. Ross McEwan and CJ Giannandrea were also on the scoresheet.

The Flames can clinch top spot if they win at Lanarkshire Lightning on Sunday.

They triumphed 4-1 in the reverse fixture and will be keen to complete the job this weekend.

Fife Redwings continued their recent improvement with an impressive 5-1 home win against Solway Sharks U12.

Mason Kelly (2), Owen Wotherspoon, Adam Aird and Kaiden Coles got the goals. Ramsay Whyte was the MVP.
