Kirkcaldy Kestrels made it back-to-back wins in the Scottish National League (SNL) with a fine performance at Aberdeen Lynx on Saturday.
Lynx won the first encounter between the two sides earlier in the season, but the Kestrels subsequently triumphed twice on home ice to make it 2-1 in the series.
They defended resolutely to claim an impressive 4-2 victory, which strengthened their grip on fourth place in the SNL standings.
Lynx went ahead in the tenth minute, but the Kestrels gradually worked their way into the game and equalised late in the second session.
Quickfire goals by Grant Jamieson, Harris Piotrowicz and George Pitcaithly early in the third period put the Kestrels in control of the game.
The home side pulled one back inside the final three minutes, but the Kestrels saw out the remaining time to secure a valuable victory.
Steven Wishart’s side are back on home ice on Saturday against North Ayrshire Wild (6.30 pm).
