Kirkcaldy Kestrels slipped to their third consecutive defeat in the Scottish National League on Sunday.

The Kestrels travelled to Paisley Pirates bidding to snap a two-game losing skid but were on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline.

The Pirates opened up a two-goal lead inside the first 15 minutes, but Kian Shelvin halved the deficit before the first buzzer.

However, the home side added two more goals to their tally to secure the points.

Steven Wishart’s side will switch their attention to the Scottish Cup semi-final on Saturday (6.30 pm).

They lead Edinburgh Capitals 4-1 after the first leg and will be eager to complete the job on home ice.
