Kirkcaldy Kestrels ended their Scottish National League fixtures for the year on the wrong end of the scoreline at home to Dundee Rockets on Sunday.

After two goalless periods, the two teams traded a goal apiece before the Rockets stepped on the gas to claim a 6-1 victory.

Our guys were gutted they could not secure a more positive result for the fans who came to support them.

The match night was themed as a festive get-together for local ice hockey fans, and the Kirkcaldy faithful did not disappoint.

A special word of thanks goes to match night manager Melanie Morris, who endured several sleepless nights in the run-up to the game.

She worked tirelessly to make the match night experience special, and her efforts undoubtedly paid off.

Thanks also to members of Andys Man Club Scotland, who brought along more than 110 people to the game. We’re delighted to support this fantastic initiative.

The Kestrels now have a short break to enjoy the festive celebrations before returning to action at Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday, 4th January.
