After defeating reigning Scottish National League champions Aberdeen Lynx last weekend, Kirkcaldy Kestrels will switch their attention to the cup on Saturday.
The Kestrels kick off their Scottish Cup campaign with the first leg of their quarter-final tie at North Ayrshire Wild (6.30 pm).
Steven Wishart’s side emerged victorious when the two sides met in the league earlier this season, securing a 6-0 win at Fife Ice Arena.
However, Wild will head into the game in a confident mood after recording a 4-3 victory over Kilmarnock Thunder in the league last weekend.
Although Wild have found goals hard to come by this season, they will be motivated by the jeopardy of participating in a cup competition.
League positions favour the Kestrels, but they will take nothing for granted against a team who have the ability to cause problems.
