Kirkcaldy Kestrels return to home ice on Saturday (6.00 pm) for a game which could have a significant impact on the top of the Scottish National League (SNL) table.

The Kestrels face reigning champions Aberdeen Lynx at Fife Ice Arena and have a point to prove after struggling for consistency this season.

An 8-1 victory at Kilmarnock Thunder last weekend was the Kestrels’ fourth win in eight games and left them five points behind table-topping Aberdeen in fourth place.

A win this weekend would shake things up at the top of the SNL, particularly with the teams in second and third positions facing each other this weekend.

The Kestrels were defeated 4-0 by Lynx in Aberdeen earlier this season and will be eager to set the record straight on home ice.

Lynx have dropped just one point in seven league matches this term and will fancy their chances of continuing their good form.
