Kirkcaldy Kestrels have a busy weekend ahead of them in the Scottish National League (SNL).

The Kestrels visit Dundee Rockets on Saturday before returning to home ice to face Kilmarnock Thunder the following day.

Steven Wishart’s side made a sticky start to the new season, losing their first two games, but have bounced back to win their next two fixtures.

They produced an impressive display to record a 6-1 road victory over Paisley Pirates before claiming an emphatic 6-0 home win against North Ayrshire Wild last Sunday

The team will be eager to continue in the same vein this weekend but will not find things easy against two teams who have the ability to cause problems.

The Rockets were narrowly beaten by Aberdeen Lynx in their season opener, with the reigning champions grabbing a 2-1 shoot-out victory in Dundee.

Thunder have suffered three consecutive defeats at the start of the campaign, but the Kestrels will not underestimate them this weekend.

The two sides had several entertaining encounters last season and are guaranteed to produce plenty of fireworks at Fife Ice Arena on Sunday.
